The Longest iPod Touch Review Ever

iPod Touch, Super Duper Ultimate Review Part 3 Rated R
If you are the kind of guy that falls asleep during long bouts of digital and technological jargon, then I’ll sum it up for you. It’s good, but not great. But that’s okay, because if you wanted strictly functionality you’d be buying an iPod Classic. You buy the iPod Touch so when you whip it out, the women faint, and the fathers offer you their first born. It’s a fashion symbol, a conversation piece, a penile enhancer, it’s a Corvette, Ferrari, and Porsche that you can carry in your pocket. Don’t let a little thing like functionality prevent you from being cool!

I was hoping to see more news about the Touch being posted here since yesterday was, more or less, the release date. I have had mine since the 26th and I am loving every minute of it. I am very surprised how the web 2.0 apps out there have made the missing apps like Notes, Weather, Stocks, etc. almost a non-issue. While it would be nice if some young hacker(or old hacker) could get the mail and other apps from the iPhone running on the touch, web 2.0 apps make the wait a lot less painful. If you want to set up a Gmail account just for your iPod Touch you might not even miss the mail.app as a lot of cool gmail readers are out there.
What is also nice is that Apple is making most of the videos on their site playable in Safari for the iPhone and Touch. The movie trailers playing from inside Safari are pretty cool. The first one I checked out was for the film version of “Iron Man”.
